ROLLING
FOR KIDS
Being elected the 102nd Potentate of
Aladdin Shrine is the supreme milestone in my Masonic life. Coming from
a long line of active Masons and Shriners, plus being able to bring my
father into Aladdin, adds to my excitement for this year.
During my progress through the Divan line, Lady Ann and I have met many
great nobles and ladies who have been an inspiration for us and for
Aladdin. I consider myself to be an average Shriner who never visualized
being Potentate of this, one of a kind, fraternity.
My theme for 2008 is "Rolling For Kids" which ties into our second love,
street rods. Lady Ann and I have a 1940 Ford Coupe Deluxe which we
converted into a "resto rod." This theme ties into the work Nobles
perform as Shriners in parades, at the circus, and any place where
wheels are "Rolling For Kids" to our hospitals.
Remember, we must maintain our membership and we MUST ADD NEW MEMBERS
every year for our hospitals to continue giving excellent care the
children need.
I feel we, as Shriners, will roll through this year with our heads high
by continuing to accomplish all the incredible feats we have in the past
as we will do in the future. We are the temple other temples look to and
admire.
My Lady Ann and I have planned another good year for nobles, ladies, and
friends. We look forward to meeting you and your families during the
year and to your active participation in visitations, events, parades,
etc...
Let's Roll.
YITF,
Daniel E. Stainbrook,
II, Potentate
